When you write to us. The contact form on our home page does not send or store anything on this website. When you press "Send message", it opens your own email program with a message to info@dotprojects.es already filled in with the name, email address, organisation and message you typed. Nothing reaches us until you send that email yourself. The same applies when you write to us directly by email.
We then process the data contained in your email (usually your name, email address, organisation and whatever you tell us) only to answer you and, if you ask for it, to explore taking part in a project or a partnership with you.
When you visit the website. Like any web server, our hosting provider records technical data for each request (IP address, date and time, page requested and browser) in its server logs, to deliver the pages and protect the website against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
We answer your messages because you have asked us to, and to take the steps you request before any agreement (article 6.1.b of the General Data Protection Regulation), and on our legitimate interest in managing the association's correspondence and partnerships (article 6.1.f). Server logs are kept on the legitimate interest of running a secure website (article 6.1.f).
Only the members of DOT Projects who handle your request. We do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing. If you take part in an Erasmus+ project, we will tell you at that point which data the project needs and who receives it.
We rely on two service providers who process data on our behalf: our web hosting company, whose servers are in the European Union, and Google Workspace, which hosts our email. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area; it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We keep your emails for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any project or partnership that follows, and afterwards for as long as the law or the reporting rules of the European programmes require. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short, limited period.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use or to send it to you in a portable format, and you can object to its processing. Write to [info@dotprojects.es](mailto:info@dotprojects.es). If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
This website sets no cookies. It has no analytics, no advertising, no social-media widgets and no embedded videos or maps, and its fonts are served from our own server, so your visit is not reported to any third party.
The only thing the website stores is your choice of language (English or Spanish), which your browser keeps in its local storage under the name "dot-lang" so the next page opens in the same language. It never leaves your device, is not sent to us or to anyone else, and is strictly necessary for the language switch you use, so it needs no consent. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Links to Instagram take you to a website run by Meta, which applies its own privacy and cookie policy once you are there. If we ever add analytics or embedded content, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
